Tour Itinerary
Tuesday, Day 1 - Rio de Janeiro to Paraty
Pick up at your Hotel or Hostel and drive to Paraty crossing the most beautiful road on the coast in Brazil. On the way, stop for a swim under a waterfall and rum- tasting at a Cachaça Factory. In the afternoon, enjoy the charming and historic seaside town of Paraty. Stay there in a Brazilian Pousada near the historical town.
Wednesday, Day 2 - Paraty
Take a boat trip to go island hopping, exploring some of the beautiful islands close to Paraty.
Thursday, Day 3 - Paraty
Free day to explore colonial Paraty. Choose from activities such as: horseback riding, trekking,kayaking, visits to colonial farms, visits to waterfalls, diving or surfing.
Friday, Day 4 - Ilha Grande to Paraty
Arrive at Angra dos Reis for lunch and take 1 hour ferry to Ilha Grande, a rustic island just off the coast. Stay there at Brazilian Pousadas (small inn, bed and brekfast) in Abraao the main town in Ilha Grande.
Saturday, Day 5 -Ilha Grande
Go on a two-hour hike to the beach of Lopes Mendes, one of the ten most beautiful beaches of Brazil. Spend the day here and come back in the afternoon by boat (extra cost about 4 pounds or 5 Euros) to your Pousada.
Sunday, Day 6 - Ilha Grande
Free Day in Ilha Grande which is densely vegetated with rainforest and offers a number of activities that include trekking, canyoning, rappelling, mountain biking, boat trips, snorkeling, and scuba diving.
Monday, Day 7 - Ilha Grande -Rio de Janeiro
Spend another free day in the island and take the ferry at the end of the day, than drive back to Rio de Janeiro city.
